Gurudev's Sadhana Journey

The divine story unfolds, as Kala Bhairava speaks... and it is always explained in flashbacks

The Beginning

First I bought a puppy, family said NOPE!
(Actually I didn't buy, a friend bought, and I went with him, but his family wanted that puppy out)

So I took him home, and my family said NOPE too.

We can't keep this dog here …

The Choice

I have never abandoned a dog, and refused to let him go.

So I bought a small apartment, packed the pup into a car and left home, and we lived there alone.

Me and that Dog … all alone, I would go to work, come back sit with that dog .. we lived like that for a long time. The Emi was high, and I could not afford much furniture at that point, it was just me and him. Slowly I filed the house up, with furniture and stuff. I named the pup, Mike.

I was 24 at the time.

Bheem's Arrival

Then I bought another dog, that dog made a lot of people mad, he became so bloody famous that the town named after his breed 'Rajapalayam', used to gossip about him. I would get hounded, people would write stuff about me and my dog, that's when I started the The Rajapalayam Project - Praveen Radhakrishnan

I had people trying to physically stop me from campaigning this dog in shows, and yes he was born with a half moon in the right eye, who has the gall to stop such a dog's rise .. I named him Bheem. He was Bhairava's gift to me..

I digress,

Divine Omens

Then I bought another dog named her Mastani, now I wondered if I had enough space, but hey wait … I had an idea, I bought another dog.

I named him Archer, the day I got him, I got the best deal on a superb car due to a change in diesel emission norms in India, and I took it as a good omen and booked that car.

Archer and that car came home the same day, mind you I could not afford this car otherwise.

Oh yeah, we Bought more dogs …

Expansion

Then I thought the dogs need more space, then another deal on a land falls right into my lap, too good to be true.

Grabbed it.

So I Built a house, now the dogs and me have enough space. You would think the story ends here .. it should have,

But wait,

Then I bought a Bull and a Cow… and that story is just writing itself..

Divine Revelation

The first time I heard the name Bhairava was in a crematorium, as Mike was being buried, the dog who moved me out of my family home… Made me live like a bloody loner, I still remember, I would sit at the window of that flat, he would sit by my side, and we would simply gaze out of the window for hours after I got home. It took me a couple of months to get a TV. That dog was something else. I bet he was too.

It is all simply, the play of Kala Bhairava
Kala Bhairavar Thunai ..
BhairavaKaalikeNamosthute ..

"Story of a man, who left home with a Dog
That is all, it is …"

"Kala Bhairava talks .. and it is always explained in flashbacks, so trust your instincts.."

Gurudev's Vahana Sadhana

Understanding the divine nature of animals in spiritual practice - where feeding becomes worship, and every creature becomes a living embodiment of the deity

The Sacred Understanding

When you feed an animal as part of your sadhana, that is not a mere animal at that moment. It becomes a living, breathing embodiment of the deity - just as a stone becomes sacred through PranaPrathishta, these creatures carry divine presence within.

That fleeting moment of satisfaction when the animal fills its belly is akin to offering naivedyam to the deity - in fact, it is more potent. This is your blessing, not your right.

Lose the ego of human birth. The deity is above you, and within the boundaries of sadhana, the animals you feed are also above you. You aren't feeding them - you are being given the sacred opportunity to serve them by the deity.

"Stop being mechanical about things. Understand the crux. Deeper meanings..."
