Don’t Make a Promise You Cannot Keep
The Kings sitting on the entire treasure of the land,
both by plunder and inheritance, their egos inflated to such an extent that they not just considered themselves one step below the gods sometimes they thought they were Gods, these Kings even had trouble envisioning the great Gods in tiny stone or metal idols.
A king wearing a 15 KG crown, 20 kgs of ornaments, will find it very difficult to envision a mere piece of stone as a Ethereal being above him.
A tiny hut sized temple, smaller than the home of his charioteer made it quite difficult for him to envision a great power within or to turn to in plea to such a hut when the kingdom faced problems from nature or by war, did not come easy.
This pushed the poor priests into a tizzy.
There in began the culture of GRANDIOSE, in Dharma.
The King would only be encouraged to place the Deity in a temple bigger than his quarters, and wearing jewels bigger than the ones he wore.
Otherwise even the Great Gods looked unimpressive to the King.
The Kings so lost in the splendour of his own life, otherwise couldn’t envision the Gods unless they physically looked and felt of higher stature than himself, and how did he judge stature? GRANDEUR.
This is where the culture of Grandeur inflicted dharma, as the priests played their cards right and projected the God’s Idols bigger than the kings itself.
To keep his attention.
The more sincere the Priests, more the chances of the Temple standing the test of time.
The Deties ensured that.
The more corrupt a priest, higher the chances of the temple falling to the test of Kaal (Time).
For the Intention was never dharma, and once the funds stopped, the Maya of the temple broke too,
the Deity never was there in the first place.
Only the inflated ego of the King, and the swindling staff, who fooled that King ever existed in those places.
The lack of Sakthi means one cannot envision the Deity without decking them up in gold and other precious metals or jewels.
This is OK for Deities that were walking on this soil, being Avatar Purusha, like Shri Krishna or Shri Rama, Anjaneya etc.
But this idea should stop there.
When it comes to celestial Gods, who do transverse between realms (Loka), they should not be decked with human ideologies of Grandeur.
They are beyond weak ideas of grandeur we humans carry.
I learnt this lesson in a rather eccentric manner.
At the peak of my own Kaalika Upsana, I started a page in her name. Don’t ask me why, or for what gain, I do not remember why I did it.
The page grew at such pace that it was scary. It took me 3 years for my Rajapalayam project page to touch 64k followers, but the page for Kaalika?
It hit 64k in …. TEN DAYS.
I was clueless on why a page would grow so fast, but I did what came to my mind.
I posted her pics and spoke about her on the page.
It was astounding what happened, every time I would post the pic of a goddess decked up in grandeur and gold, people would throng to the pic.
They would write ‘Jai Maa Kaali’!
Every time I posted my own digambara Shamashana Kallika idol, people wouldn’t not even react.
They wondered WHO IS THIS?
They would not even recognise her.
I laughed, the message was so clear.
If 64,000 people following this page,
only 64 would actually be able to envision her for what she was.
A Digambara, Raw energy, absolutely devoid of any human ideals of Grandeur.
That was Kaalika.
She was unimaginable even to those that prayed to her, even they saw her grand sarees and jewels.
Smiling face, of a human ideology of a loving mother.
Devoid of it this specific image, though she lacked Sakthi.
I was fascinated.
I still post on that page, I still wonder seated in front of her idol.
Why do they deck you up in weakness, hide you in silk and gold?
Why are you so unimaginable to the Sakthi-less?
Bhairava is easily discernible to even the most Sakthi less human.
Kaalika is not.
Why?
Bhairava Vahana - Dog - Canis lupus familiaris.
(Can be tamed, co inhabited by most)
Kaalika Vahana - Jackal - Canis aureus indicus.
(Cannot be tamed)
Both these animals are of the same CANIS family,
however one is domesticated, the other is a wild animal.
BUT, the Dog (Canis lupus familiaris), can impregnate and breed with the Jackel (Canis aureus indicus).
What does that tell you?
One can pray to Kaalika, but to take a sankalpam and hope to have any progress, one must finish mutiple mandalas of Bhairava sadhana, else she is but a Maya,
and you can’t see her without the decked up silk sarees and Gold.
When you find a spiritual high in her Sadhana,
don’t lose control and make some exorbitant promises like life long Upsana.
Many ancestral homes in Bengal and Kerala are broken because the bloodlines gave up Upsana of Kaalika,
which their ancestors promised for eternity in the bloodlines.
Bloodlines too will stop proliferating if such a disrespect happens. So always approach Kaalika Upsana with great caution under an able Guru.
She is uncontainable raw energy,
and the highest form of the Divine Femine.
THE HIGHEST, she follows NO RULES.
My dearest Kaalika 🙏🏿
