There’s a story I’ve heard many times growing up.
There’s a story I’ve heard many times growing up
from my parents, grandparents, everyone.
Once, there was a great bhakta of Shri Hari. He was deeply devoted, always immersed in remembrance of the Lord. He would do his work with full dedication, but his mind constantly remained in bhakti — always thinking about Bhagwan.
One day, some well-wishers said to him,
“Why don’t you create a routine? Fix a timeslot for work, and either in the morning or before sunset, do your pooja regularly.”
He agreed and tried. But when he started his bhakti in the morning, he couldn’t stop. And if he began in the evening, he wouldn’t sleep. His heart and mind would get fully absorbed.
People then suggested something new —
“Why not do both together? Work and bhakti at the same time.”
This clicked for him. He continued his work while staying connected to Bhagwan. Even while working, he would pause for a moment — just to think of Shri Vishnu.
One day, a rishi came to him — or maybe it was Vishnu Bhagwan Himself in disguise.
He said,
“Why don’t you see… I am in everything. Every action you do is an offering to Me.”
That was the moment everything shifted.
The man began to offer every single thing — going to the field, eating, drinking, even sleeping — to Vishnu Bhagwan. His entire life became a sadhana. His every act became an offering.
And while this story is already beautiful… the part that truly stayed with me is this deeper truth:
Everything is already Her.
The thoughts that disturb you — are Her.
The thoughts that uplift you — are Her.
Hate, jealousy, ego, love, lust, bhakti — all are different faces of Her.
If She is Smashan Kali, then She is also Rakshasi.
She is Pooman. She is Kumati. She is Sumati.
She is Mahakulini. She is also Nishkama.
Every aspect, every thought, every breath, every blood cell — is Her.
So the real transformation doesn’t come just from doing a ritual at a fixed hour. It comes when you offer your entire being to Maa.
If you want a better life, a deeper connection —
Then offer everything to Her.
The work, the emotions, the madness, the bhakti.
Hold nothing back.
That is true surrender. That is Her path
