With the rise in temperature and increase in scorching heat, it has become difficult to sit for Nitya sadhna. Within few minutes, the whole body is drenched in sweat. But what is this sweat ?
Physically, sweat is the a biological process of the body where the body tries to cools itself down releasing sweat through small pores in the skin, and due to process of evaporation, the temperature of the body comes down. But there is an esoteric meaning behind it.
A normal person, who has just started doing pooja, keeps looking for the deity outside. He keep looking for deity inside the temple idol, inside the shakti peethas, inside some godly person and everywhere else. But as he transverse his journey from Pooja to Upasana, to sadhna, to Tapasya he realizes that Sadhna is not about finding the deity outside. It is the journey of human to the centre of the himself. The deity reside inside the Sadhka. The deity loves the discipline of Sadhka and the daily Vidhi the Sadhka performs for the deity.
Don’t we all remember in our junior classes it was taught how water is purified in labs. The water was made to boil, converted into steam. The steam got condensed on a cooling surface and then the water is collected in a jar. That condensed water became the purest water.
Similarly the water inside the body is heated from the spiritual fire of AGNI chakra of the Sadhka. The fuel that fires the Agni chakra is all the mantras that the Sadhka do in his Nitya Upasana. The water then comes out from the skin of Sadhka. It is not just the Sweat, it is the Sadhka doing the Abhishekam of the deity, that reside inside the body of Sadhka. The water with which the Sadhka is doing Abhishekam, has been purified from the spiritual fire of the AGNI Chakra.
While doing sadhna, as the drops of sweat moves on the skin of Sadhka, the Sadhka will feel tickling. Just like we play with our child and the child laughs whiles we do tickling to him. The Maa Adya Kali also loves to play with her Son/daughter (The Sadhka). The Tickling effect created by sweat moving on the skin of the Sadhka is Maa Adya Kali playing with her Kaliputra and Kaliputra.
The Sweat of Sadhka is an offering of the Sadhka as an Abhishekam of Maa that reside inside the Yantra (The Body) of Sadhka.
