The Gupta Sadhak Shyama Khyapa Part 1: Self-Realization
“What if the wheel of life suddenly stops for you?”
We all want success in life.
We hustle, build careers, chase dreams, and someday, quietly exit this world
believing we did our best. But what if, one day, the cycle breaks?
This is the story of a man who chose to leave everything behind.
He is from the land of Bengal. He was an exceptional businessman, the owner of a law firm with over 50 employees. Wealth, success, cars, a beautiful bungalow, he had it all.
He was a devoted follower of Maa Kali from childhood. Her name was always on his lips.
One day
On a business trip to Nepal for a client meeting. He also wants to visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple once
Early in the morning, he visited the garbha griha, the innermost sanctum of the temple. As he knelt and hugged the sacred lingam, a voice stirred inside him.
“Why are you wasting your time on worldly things? You are not meant for them. Leave.”
There was no confusion. No debate.
What he did next would shake most people.
He handed over his entire business to his partner.
He let go of the comfort, the money, everything.
He walked away from the identity he had spent decades building.
And he didn’t do it as a bachelor with nothing to lose.
He was a married man & a father of two, and a respected member of society.
From a lavish bungalow, he moved to a simple hut with barely enough food.
But behind this shift stood a silent force…
His wife, (Guru Amma) is his anchor.
Maa Kali may test her sadhakas, but she never abandons them.
She ensures they’re supported often through strong women in their lives, a wife, a mother, or a sister.
Maa took care of his worldly needs… while She pulled him towards Her world.
Food arrived. Money came when it was needed. Guests showed up with what was required, always at the right moment.
To be continued…
