The Ability to See God in everything - A Lesson from Guru Praveen Radhakrishnan
The Ability to See God in everything - A Lesson from Guru Praveen Radhakrishnan
I am from a typical Indian family who believes God can only be accessed in temples and growing up I thought I could find God only there, always this felt off for me but there was no one else to tell me otherwise and therefore I started searching for the divine everywhere in books, movies, songs and within myself.
Somehow through knowledge I knew God is within everyone but never could experience it nor convince others of the same , when I started watching Guru Praveen Radhakrishnan ji's videos slowly I realised the meaning of it all - the temple is not the only place where a deity resides inturn it's the reminder and a reflection of the divine within , every deity in every ksetra can be accessed from where you are is something I never heard in my life and it shook my living reality, every home can be a temple he says and with those lines my whole existence makes sense , spirituality over physicality and the omnipresent nature of God is something which became an experience after following his teachings.
Guruji doesn't teach not only to worship the Deity but inturn to become the Deity itself, His path is not of instant gratification but the path of seeking beyond one's own comfort zone while slowly rubbing off the obstacles between the current you and your own divine self.
His Guidance is not just for few years of human life but for lifetimes to come because what he teaches is truth in its rawness just like the Divine mother standing behind him in the videos silently watching with gleam in her eyes seeing her son leading masses in the right direction.
Once the Guiding one comes repercussions always follow it's the curse of this world but if you can see beyond the lies projected and cast to hide your vision if you can see not from the physical eyes but the eyes from within you will get to see the truth.
Thus changing the way we view the divine from only in temples to in everything around even in the dirtiest of the dirty place and in the magnificent places in both the Divine is present equally with no difference.
Also to call him my Guru once someone questioned
1.how do you know have you met him or
2.have you spent time learning from him ,
3.Did you give Guru Dakshina etc etc
To the questions above my answer is
1. My Guru is not a physical being he is Omnipresent for me therefore what significance does it hold than to just satisfy my longing to meet him physically, he is beyond that body and that is why he guides me in ways you cannot see but can only experience.
2.I have spent hours, days, months learning from him from his teachings available free of cost online and not only that implementing them in my own life and every step I take when in doubt I take in his name and I can see the surroundings change immediately he guides me through ways which I cannot fathom and it's my unwaverable faith in him.
3.Guru Dakshina is me living to spread the name of the Divine mother and living a life that moves closer to the divine in everyway, he is above physicality to that cosmic presence that operates through him what will you give as Dakshina to that one ?
Money - Oh a mere paper glorified by society
Time - What can you give to the one who created Time itself, what's even your time just a speck in this cosmic timeline
Love - Only this can be given and love even for this whole life wouldn't be sufficient that's how small a human life is
So in anyway he is already above what can you give to that cosmic one? ... Nothing..
He needs nothing from me or you than your own self development.
Thus it's not you who choose the Guru but it's the Guru who chooses you.
Like the million seeds thrown in the soil only a fertile soil can nurture and nourish it to grow into a tree.
You may be an exceptional seed but if you don't get buried in a fertile soil , a Guru who can help you grow then even the most exceptional seed wouldn't take sprout and for that you must be willing to surrender just like that seed get buried and wait with faith then one day you will take sprout too.
We are like these Exceptional seeds thrown into this world, some fall in the desert , some in the sea and some in good soil by birth you maybe anywhere but by choice you can still get picked up to be grown in good soil and that is Guru Kripa.
