Maa Kali calming down after stepping on MahaKala Bhairava - Shiva, is the common folklore. Hence, it's believed that only Shiva can calm her down.

However, is that even true?

Indeed, Shiva lying down calms Her down.

However,

The desire to calm down is Her,

The entire process of calming down is Her, until she doesn't move. To grasp this - Imagine a car running at

74km/sec speed slowing down to stop. Does it stop the next second? No, Right? Then the entire stopping process is Her too, for its movement too.

When She doesn't move - She is Shiva.

You could argue that Shiva is consciousness.

But, then do you mean to imply She isn't concious when She is moving? Of course not, Right!

So, what does Shiva lying down signify?

It Her acknowledging HERSELF, that She now needs to turn into Shiva and become UNMOVING.

The lesser Her movement, the more Shiva She is.

When She is absolutely Unmoving She completely BECOMES Shiva.

She is always BOTH in various degrees.
