The Stability of an Atom

June 5, 2025

We humans often remain oblivious to the wonders surrounding us in nature the flutter of a tiny fly, the blooming of flowers, the majesty of ancient trees. And yet, all these marvels are interconnected, functioning harmoniously as parts of a unified whole. At the heart of this unity lies the smallest structural unit from which all things are made: the atom.

From this element, we can conclude a deep message. The atom, though invisible to the eye, reflects the cosmic principles of Shiva and Shakti. At its center lies the nucleus, composed of protons and neutrons symbolic of Shiva and Shakti who reside together at the center. Surrounding them, electrons dance in an orbital motion, embodying our interactions with the world.

The nucleus dense, potent, and central carries nearly the entire mass of the atom. Protons and neutrons are held together by the strongest force known to humankind: the nuclear force. In the same way, Shiva and Shakti are eternally bound inseparable, interdependent, and essential to one another’s existence. To walk the path toward Shakti, one must first understand Shiva, and to realize Shiva, one must embrace Shakti.

Electrons, carrying an opposite charge, orbit the nucleus, held in place by electromagnetic forces. In our spiritual journey, we are much like these electrons seeking to return to our nucleus, to the union of Shiva and Shakti. Through Sadhana, through inner exploration, we gravitate closer to that divine center, uncovering how all things ultimately emanate from and return to the supreme source.

At times, electrons may leave their atom, only to return later just as we, in the cycles of birth and rebirth, stray from our center and return in search of deeper meaning and purpose. These journeys remind us that we are more than individual fragments, we are not just electrons in motion but complete atoms. There is no Shiva or Shakti apart from us, they are not outside of us but within us. In truth, we are one.
